Posted by admin on June 26, 2013

With an incredible lineup of musical talent including MGMT, Matt and Kim, Mutemath, Atlas Genius, Arkells, Capital Cities, The Trews and More, it is easy to get caught up in the music and get distracted from the rest of the KELOHA festival experience.

Art Ave. will be returning to the second annual KELOHA festival and it is poised to foster creativity and let imaginations of children, families and adults flourish.

Art Ave. is presented by the KELOHA festival in partnership with KBAAD (K-Billie Artist and Athlete Development). KBAAD is an Okanagan-based not-for-profit society aimed at artists and athletes rise to remarkable heights by creating exciting new opportunities and professional guidance. This year, Art Ave. will feature interactive components and activities including but not limited to a craft tent, DIY tie-dye booth, KELOHA photobooth, chalk drawing, sand castle building, paddle boarding and drop-in Yoga. The Okanagan Observatory will also be on-site providing event goers with a peek into space with their one of a kind Sun-Viewing Telescope and there will be a hashtag (#) activated bubble machine. Art Ave. will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 12-6, so make sure you allow enough time to check it out! Look for it between the Main Stage and the Sandbar Stage.

The KELOHA festival will provide a fun-filled weekend for festivalgoers of all ages! Moreover, with the purchase of an accompanying adult ticket, Kids passes (ages 6-12) are $69.75 for the weekend or $29.95 for the day.

Not only will Art Ave be a place to explore creative expression on individual levels, but it will also represent a forum for networking within the community - featuring and highlighting local artists, businesses and art initiatives as a way of connecting people of all ages with a tangible contemporary art scene.
